Michael has over 30 years of experience with international tax planning and advisory services. He has also guided a variety of businesses from initial structuring through to exit strategies.
Michael genuinely cares about and is interested in each of his clients. He takes the time to understand and connect with them in a way that they feel really heard and supported. This together with his vast experience and expertise allows the client to obtain advice and support that will assist them in achieving their financial goals.
With his broad range of expertise Michael provides services to clients in the advertising, food and property industries. In addition, he provides advice to individuals, estate planning services as well as business and advisory services to investors.
Michael is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Tax Agent and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
Deb has over 30 years of experience in tax and advisory services and specialises in providing superannuation and SMSF advice. She heads up the firm’s superannuation team utilising her extensive knowledge, skills and experience in this area.
Deb has a caring, empathic approach to her interactions with others which allows her to develop trusting and supportive relationships with her clients. Her clients value her clear, succinct and practical advice.
Originally coming from KPMG, she also understands large clients with complex needs and her experience covers all areas of tax and advisory services to businesses, professionals, investors, retirees and trustees of SMSF’s.
Deb is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Tax Adviser, Registered Tax Agent and holds a Bachelor of Economics Degree.
Vanessa has more than 20 years experience as a tax specialist, and has an interest in the tax and succession issues faced by privately owned enterprises and family groups. She has extensive knowledge in areas such as tax structuring, cross border issues, asset acquisitions and divestments, and tax issues arising for trusts.
She has written and presented many papers for key professional associations, such as the Tax Institute of Australia.
Vanessa was a partner at Deloitte Private and prior to that was a partner at BDO and Crowe Horwath.
Vanessa is a Chartered Accountant and has degrees in Teaching, Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Economics) and a Masters in Tax Law. She is a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia, Westminster Tax Discussion Group and a representative member of the ATO Small Business Tax Working Group.
Kirsty has over 13 years experience as a tax specialist, working with privately owned groups and listed entities in relation to tax compliance, tax effect accounting, restructures, tax consolidations, employee share schemes, small business CGT, trust tax issues and international tax issues.
Kirsty has been involved in tax controversy, objections and private binding ruling applications and has substantial experience in liaising with the Australian Taxation Office to achieve the best results for her clients.
Beginning her career at PKF (which later became BDO) in Corporate Tax before becoming a Director in Deloitte Private, she has dealt with many complex transactions and tax issues.
Kirsty is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Commerce (majoring in Accounting and Finance). Kirsty is currently the Chair person of Tax Discussion Group 14.

Gavin has a broad range of experience working in both corporates and accounting practices over the past 18 years. This experience has enabled him to develop a wide and varied skill base. He has also developed his interpersonal skills through formal study and working in the areas of psychotherapy and coaching.
Gavin values listening to clients, giving them sound financial advice and appropriate holistic support. He has a particular interest in clients in the Wellness industry and those living a holistic lifestyle.
Gavin is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours), Masters of Counselling/Applied Psychotherapy and a Diploma of Financial Planning. He has also passed all three levels of the CFA Program.
Frances has been working at Baskin Clarke since June 2008. She has more than 12 years of experience in business services.
Frances has an exceptionally high level of professionalism and meeting her clients’ needs is her primary focus. Her excellent technical skills in taxation result from her keen interest in this area. This engenders great confidence in clients who seek a high degree of knowledge and reliability from their accountants. Frances also provides technical support in accounting applications to clients on request.
Frances is a Chartered Accountant and Certified Tax Adviser. She graduated with Distinction in her Bachelor Degree in Business where she majored in direct and sub-majored in indirect Australian taxation. She holds a Master Degree in Taxation and is currently studying for a Master Degree in International Taxation.
Since joining Baskin Clarke in 2001 with extensive professional and commercial accounting experience, Phillis has dealt with the accounting and taxation requirements of individuals, companies and trusts, drawing on her varied experience to provide quality assistance to clients across a broad range of industries and professions. With clients' interests at heart, she strives to assist them with whatever matters they come across. Over her years at Baskin Clarke Phillis has developed and maintained longstanding relationships with clients.
Another aspect of Phillis's role has been supervising and mentoring staff and participating in professional mentoring programmes.
Phillis is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy.
Christine has worked with clients for over 11 years on their taxation and retirement needs. She specialises in the advisory and administration areas of superannuation and SMSFs. Her extensive technical knowledge makes her an adept problem solver.
As a technical specialist, Christine is able to provide clients with a wide range of tailored strategies specific to SMSFs. She is also able to assist clients in understanding their SMSF compliance obligations, planning for retirement and in the winding up of their funds.
Christine is a Chartered Accountant and an accredited CA SMSF Specialist. She holds a Bachelor of Economics, Master of Applied Tax (specialising in Superannuation) and a Master of Professional Accounting.
Pauline joined Baskin Clarke in 2007 and has worked with clients for over 10 years on their accounting, taxation and retirement matters. She has a broad range of experience working with individuals, companies, trusts and SMSF.
Pauline relishes her role at Baskin Clarke that allows her to always put her client’s interest first. She has a passion for working closely with clients, providing quality advice and managing her client’s accounting and tax affairs so that they can have more personal time to enjoy the things that they love in life.
Pauline is a Chartered Accountant, Certified Tax Adviser and holds a Bachelor Commerce Degree, majoring in Accounting. She has also completed her Master Degree in Taxation and is currently undertaking law studies.
Robyn has worked for Baskin Clarke for approximately 28 years and has been attending to client corporate affairs since 1996.
Robyn has extensive knowledge and experience regarding the various ASIC requirements and is effective in resolving issues with ASIC. Her tasks include setting up companies, trusts and business names. She also maintains corporate and unit holder registers and processes company annual reviews.
Robyn has an excellent rapport with clients and prides herself in efficiently responding to and resolving client requests.
As the Office Manager Stuart ensures that the office runs smoothly so our partners and practitioners can focus on servicing our clients. Since joining Baskin Clarke in 2000, Stuart has been responsible for all the various office administration functions. He is also the ‘go to’ person for the team when issues arise – if he cannot fix a problem, he will find someone who can.
Stuart’s work experience has mostly been in small to medium sized companies and has generally involved accounting, payroll and office administration. He enjoys working with the team at Baskin Clarke and his interactions with clients.
Stuart has a Bachelor Degree in International Trade and a Master Degree in Business Administration from the United States.
